“Melissa is a creator whose work comes from the loving place within. The notion of time does not exit in her work. She is able to go into the void to bring a magnificent energy out to our world.”

Waverly Ave, Brooklyn | 2021-2023
In recent years, Melissa’s visual art has largely been an expression of cosmic forces, nature and an invocation of the Divine Feminine. When materializing these projects, she often utilizes found, natural, raw or recycled materials sourced in the tradition of Arte Povera.

Devotional Practice
For many years, Melissa has meet each morning with a period of silent devotional practice during which she opens herself to receive and transcribe. From 2020-2022, this practice included making a watercolor per day, resulting in over 600 works.
Some of these ‘morning watercolors’ are visible: here.
